Red Lips

The idea of red lipstick has been around since the time of Cleopatra and Elizabeth I. It's timeless, elegant, classic and never fails to look downright amazing. It's an intimidating trend but doesn't have to be. Here are my top five choices:

1. M.A.C. Ruby Woo - for a great matte look
2. Nars Jungle Red - more of an orange-based red
3. Armani Hollywood Red - a light, silky red; the kind of red Marilyn Monroe herself would wear
4. Revlon "Love That Red" - this classic first hit the cosmetic counter in 1951, and continues to wow with its perfect blend of blue undertones
5. YSL Red Muse - a deep fushia red that will make heads turn

I'm not sure who came up with the rule "no white after labor day" but the fall runways are seriously defying this fashion no-no. Personally, white is one of my favorite colors to wear during the winter. I mean, snow is white, right? The crisp look of white is bold, feminine and unexpected, not to mention a great way to stand out in a crowd full of dreary blacks and browns...So I dare you, whip out those white skinny jeans and pair them with some fur!

As a fan of warm weather, there is one thing that gets me excited about the winter months...FUR! There is nothing that glams up an outfit quite like adding a little fur on a collar or a pair of boots. But the most fabulous of all is the fur coat. Nothing can beat it. Unfortunately, living in Austin I'm going to have to wait awhile before opening the fur closet...

A touch of pink in your home can add warmth, interest and even sex appeal. It's a chic, happy color and can give a traditional piece a modern flare. The easiest way to add a touch of pink in your home is with a coffee table book. My suggestion: Yves Saint Laurent Style

Erin Wasson was chosen as the face of the Joie 2010/2011 Ad Campaign. The photography is absolutely stunning, earthy and whimsical. As one of my favorite clothing lines, I think Joie killed it with this campaign. Seriously inspires me to take some photos in a wheat field! 

New obsession: Miroslava Duma

Russia's "It Girl"

Miroslava Duma is the absolutely adorable daughter of Vasilay Duma, a Russian senator. She was an editor for Harper's Bazaar (Russia), is married to a wealthy Russian businessman, and has become an international fashion icon all under the age of 25 (I swear I thought she was about 16 the first time I saw a picture of her). Oh and did I forget to mention she has a baby, too? Please tell me, how can I be this accomplished by 25? That gives me.... two years from Friday.... Better get on it...
